Every Steiner school is unique to its place in the world. Ours was built to reflect the distinct Tasmanian country that surrounds us. It’s best appreciated by walking through our grounds while hearing from parents and teachers.

Tarremah Steiner School was founded in 1988 and was first located in South Hobart. A few years later, we moved to Huntingfield, which offered bountiful space, views of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington, and access to a small creek and bush reserve.

The school has grown organically from a cluster of small, purpose-built cottages to include state-of-the-art, architecturally designed secondary school buildings and a multi-purpose Hall and commercial kitchen.
